Adcote, Suzhou, located in the millennial historical and cultural town -- Tongli ancient town -- covers and area of nearly a hundred acres, and was originally where the Tongli Middle School sat. The school is well-known for the Tongchuan Autonomous Society (formerly known as The Qing Dynasty Tongchuan Academy) founded by Mr. Jin Songcen in1902. The famous modern Chinese writer Liu Yazi and the founder of Chinese sociology Fei Xiaotong were once Mr. Jin'd students. Tongchuan Public School founders Jin Songcen, Chen Qu Bing, and Liu Yazi are together known as the Xinhai Revolution "Wujiang Sanjie". <Thirty-three Years of Dreams> introduces Sun Yat-sen's revolution, and plays the role of an era propagandist, publicising the opening of the revolution.

   In 1902, unsatisfied with the old-style private teaching, he participated inthe China Education Association initiated by Mr. Cai Yuanpei, and founded the "Tongchuan Autonomous Society", and later changed its name to "Tongchuan Public School", which was the first public school in Wujiang District, Suzhou, thus inspiring establishments of new schools in this area.

      With a grassy, Confucian style, quiet and elegent campus, the school is well-known for its museum. The student education base, Tianfang Building and Red Building, quietly witnesses more than 7,000 ywars of Yuze culture. Adcote, Suzhou is the 3rd branch of Adcote School in China, opened in September 2020.
